What the Art Teacher is Working On
I love doing so many kinds of art, which makes me the perfect elementary art teacher!
Here are photos of books I have made, clay art houses that I sell, calligraphy (my first love - - I love putting hand lettered words on most everything I make) small hand sewn quilts, large tee shirt quilts I make and sell to college bound kids, some stamps I have carved, a portrait I painted . . . you get the idea.
Visit my Instagram page for a more up to date posting of more current works.
The Landscape Embroidery Project
Over the past few years, I have spent free time creating small embroidered landscapes. It's been fun to think of places I have visited (or lived!) and re-create them with fabric and thread. I recently taught this method to the art students, and you can see photos on my Instagram page.

It seems like I am always working in some sort of book, be it a watercolor journal or some calligraphy.

The Bible Journal Project
I bought a Bible specifically to do art in it. I have found this to be a great way to incorporate art and my spiritual life. This is the first page - from the book of Genesis.

And other art I've made . . .
